Could someone tell me a method to expand the size of the image.I want to
just copy a portion of the original image to its edges and thus make it big
to do some calculations
Use rectangle to outline part you want to expand, Control-Shift-D to duplicate/cropped area. Use Image/Adjust size to resize the subset. And yes, it took me a few months to find this cool option myself. Teresa
