Fiji - 3D Viewer help

Dale Thayer-2
Hello,

Installed the latest Fiji from Fiji's website.  Using 3D Viewer to display 512x512x512 voxel image.  When I try to do simple keyboard/mouse commands, the image jumps completely out of range, and I have to hit View->Center->Selected content to get it back on-screen.  If I try the Shift-Hand-mouse move to pan the image, it also jumps immediately out of sight.  If just drag mouse to rotate the image, it rotates about 50 times for very small moves of the mouse.  Probably a setup problem, but couldn't find anything on point in the archives.

Thanks.

You might try changing the View Preferences.  Display the image in the 3D Viewer. In the 3D Viewer window under  Edit>View Preferences  set Projection = Perspective and check to 'Apply changes now, then 'OK';
the Parallel projection mode zooms the image beyond useful visibility.

Glen

Hi Glenn,

It comes up in "Perspective" mode by default.  But I checked it, and reapplied it, but it still jumps out of range.

Thanks,

Dale

i also found this problem, i.e, rapid movement by one click of mouse. Another problem is that the frame is often not matching the border of the volume image (Objects moved up higher in frame). Have no idea what happened.
