Hi,
I just tried to install Fiji on OS X (10.6.2) and downloaded finally fiji-all-20100614.tar.bz2 But there is no menue bar... Okay, I can open a new file with <cmd o>, but how to get the Process-submenue...? So I think I need it. What can I do? I haven't found any hints to switch on or off the menue bar in the internet... Thanks for each small hint. Harald |

Hmm, that never happened to me. If you're coming from Windows, maybe you are not looking at the top of the screen for the menu bar, but inside the Fiji window? > Okay, I can open a new file with <cmd o>, but how to get the > Process-submenue...? So I think I need it. You can always use the command launcher: Cmd+L. Ciao, Johannes |

Hi Harald
Why not use download the Fiji package thats designed for OSX? That works properly on OSX - the All platforms is not the one you needed. Download the .dmg, mount it (link below) and then drag and drop the Fiji to wherever you want to install it... ~/Desktop or /Applications or wherever you have write permissions. http://pacific.mpi-cbg.de/downloads/Heidelberg/fiji-macosx-20100614.dmg remember to run the Help - fiji update as many times as it needs to fully update! cheers Dan On Sep 30, 2010, at 6:00 AM, IMAGEJ automatic digest system wrote: > Date: Wed, 29 Sep 2010 17:47:44 +0200 > From: Johannes Schindelin <[hidden email]> > Subject: Re: Fiji on OS X: no menue bar > > Hi, > > On Wed, 29 Sep 2010, Dr. Harald von der Osten wrote: > >> I just tried to install Fiji on OS X (10.6.2) and downloaded finally >> fiji-all-20100614.tar.bz2 >> >> But there is no menue bar... > > Hmm, that never happened to me.
