Fiji on OS X: no menue bar

Dr. Harald von der Osten
Hi,

I just tried to install Fiji on OS X (10.6.2) and downloaded finally
fiji-all-20100614.tar.bz2

But there is no menue bar... Okay, I can open a new file with <cmd o>,
but how to get the Process-submenue...? So I think I need it. What can
I do? I haven't found any hints to switch on or off the menue bar in
the internet...

Thanks for each small hint.

Harald

Hmm, that never happened to me. If you're coming from Windows, maybe you
are not looking at the top of the screen for the menu bar, but inside the
Fiji window?

You can always use the command launcher: Cmd+L.

Hi Harald

Why not use download the Fiji package thats designed for OSX?
That works properly on OSX - the All platforms is not the one you needed.

Download the .dmg, mount it (link below)
and then drag and drop the Fiji to wherever you want to install it...
~/Desktop or /Applications or wherever you have write permissions.

remember to run the Help - fiji update
as many times as it needs to fully update!

cheers

Dan
