Fiji user question, thank you!

Eileen Xu
Hi,

I downloaded some toolsets (.txt) files and put them under the ImageJ directory under the subdirectory
of  macros/toolsets. However, after that, the Toolsets can't be seen by clicking on the >> on the tool bar.

Also, when I choose "Pluggins/macros/Startup Macros", it says "Startupmacros.txt not found in ImageJ/macros”. I’ve verified the files in the ImageJ/macros folders and those files are indeed in there. It seems that Fiji is not able to find them.  Is there something I can do to fix it? Thank you!

Hi Eileen,

>when I choose "Pluggins/macros/Startup Macros", it says "Startupmacros.txt
not found in ImageJ/macros”.

Note that "Pluggins/macros/Startup Macros" is just a shortcut to open the
startup macro file in the script editor. The actual contents of this file
is loaded into the menus on startup as intended, but because the file is
named StartupMacros.fiji.ijm it isn't picked up by the
"Plugins/macros/Startups Macros" command. If you want that command to work,
for now the solution is to rename your "StartupMacros.fiji.ijm" to
"StartupMacros.txt".

>I downloaded some toolsets (.txt) files and put them under the ImageJ

Can you share where these were downloaded from so we can reproduce the
problem?

Thanks,
Mark

Eileen Xu
Hi,

Thank you for the comments on Startup Macros. And I fixed the problem with the "toolsets" following Wayne's suggestions:)
