Based on the quality of your previous posts, I suspect you are well ahead of
me on this, but let me make sure you are aware of the Micromanager project:
http://www.micro-manager.org/ which is all about providing a consistent open
source inteface to devices with analysis support through imageJ.
My understanding is that micromanager currently has a libdc 1394 support for
Linux but not Windows, but i may be confused.
You my want to sync any advances you work on with this project.
