General question - practical

Pieter Coussement
Hi,

I have a lab problem.
I have a fluorometer available (fluorostar, light filters) which i would
like to use for optical density for bacterial growth (600nm) measurement.

I can only shine light from one side and detect at the same side.

My idea was to shine in light without filter (so more or less the whole
spectrum), and then take some kind of picture (some pixels) with the
fluorometer.

And then i would use ImageJ for calibration and analysis of these pictures.

Has anyone experience with this? Would it work?

Best regards,
Pieter
