Green background on photo

Hi all,
I have a microscope that works in transmitted light using a LED as external illumination system.
The visual field is illuminated evenly and white.
However when I take a photograph with my digital camera Nikon Coolpix 4800 and I download a photo on the computer  its background has a evenly light green colour. I can preselect the light source but the result is not very good.
I wonder if there is an ImageJ's procedure for restoring the original colours I saw with my eyes.
