I have been forwarded an image file from a coworker that I can not open.
The file is a *.AIM file I was able to open the file in notepad in windows XP. The file does appear to be a text file as I discovered with the links below. Has anyone opened this type of file using Image J? Any help is appreciated. A quick search on the web reveals several hits: http://file-extension.net/seeker/file_extension_aim http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabetical_list_of_file_extensions#A http://www.file-extensions.org/aim-file-extension-ascaron-image-format File extension AIM description: .AIM means Ascaron image format and was developed by Ascaron for their new release "Darkstar One". The images stored in this files are simple 2D graphics. http://www.ehow.com/facts_6175471_file-extension-_aim_.html An AIMMS ASCII model file is a three-dimensional image that has been saved in a text format so it can be viewed as words rather than a picture. http://www.downloadatoz.com/file-extensions/aim-file-extension.html AIM is AIMMS models that contains an operations model created using the AIMMS modeling language and save in a text format. similar to an .AMB file, but saved as an ASCII text file instead of a binary file. It is proprietary file format used by Paragon Decision Technology software Regards, Alex --- C.
