How to copy and paste just the "selection", not the selected area?

ImageJUser
Hi there,
I need to perform simple "Analyze->Measure (ctrl+M)" on two different (registered) images, BUT just on the SAME position, i.e. I need to copy and paste a selection (ROI) in order to keep the same dimension and position.
Does anyone can tell me if and how ImageJ perfom such a simple task?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Danilo,

two possibilities:

The more elegant one: Use the SyncWindows plugin
   http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/plugins/sync-windows.html

The quick one, if you need it only once:
Edit>Selection>Restore Selection on the second image. This will
apply the last selection stored to the current image. Sometimes one
has to deselect and restore the selection on the first image (the one
with the original selection) before, to make sure that the correct
selection is used.

Hello

That sync plugin is very useful, thank you.
What I ususally do is define the ROI on one image, and when I'm happy with
it, I use the Save option in the ROI manager (it's under the drop down menu
"More").
After that, when I've opened the new image, I just open the saved ROI.
This works for stacks too.

I there,
I agree with Akos, that sync plug in is very useful.
Thanks to both of you for your hints. I discovered the ROI manager way by nosing around all the ImageJ options. Sync solution is better, but good to know how to save a ROI as well.

Thank you, and to the next question.
