IJ Wand tool and calibrated values?

Marie Rasta
Dear all,

I was wondering if the IJ.doWand tool is working only on the raw
values(like the api tells us: 'tolerance' is in uncalibrated units.)
or if there's a possibility to tell him to work on the calibrated
values?

Thanks in advance for any help

Marie

Hi Marie,

the tolerance of the Wand is in uncalibrated units. An easy way to work with calibrated units is converting the image to floating-point data (Image>Type>32 bit). The 32-bit image will have the calibrated values of the previous 8-bit or 16-bit image.
