Hi all,
I'm trying to run ImageJ 1.42 on opensuse 11.1 x86_64. The program starts just fine, I can load an image, but when I, for instance, change the type of the image from, say, 8 bit to RGB, the trouble starts. Whatever I try, I can't seem to close the window with the image. It pops up a 'save file' dialog, but neither button works (yes/no/cancel). Even shutting down ImageJ doesn't work because of the same bug/feature. I also tried different java versions (java 1.5-sun, java-1.6-openjdk, java-1.6-sun, java-1.7-icedtea), but that didn't help either. I hope you can help me. TIA Roger |
Which subrelease of ImageJ 1.42 are you running..,
It is strange, we run it on 64-bit OpenSuSE 11.1 all the time and generally it seems to perform OK. Boris. Roger Koot wrote: > Hi all, > > I'm trying to run ImageJ 1.42 on opensuse 11.1 x86_64. Please try Fiji (http://pacific.mpi-cbg.de/). One of Fiji's missions is to prevent issues such as yours. Ciao, Johannes |

Roger,
Perhaps try switching to the Sun's Java 1.6. We had some problems with the OpenJDK version. Use update-alternatives --config java (Run it as root.) Only takes a second to try this one... Boris. That did the trick! Which is kinda weird because I tried sun's jdk an
hour ago without success. Probably made a typo or something. You're my hero! Thanx a lot Roger On 09/22/2009 03:06 PM, Boris Epstein wrote: > Roger, > > Perhaps try switching to the Sun's Java 1.6.
