> Hey Everyone,
Does anyone know a way to integrate ImageJ with Labview (National Instruments)? or if you know any examples where this was done before....I am writing a Labview module for our multiphoton laser microscope and wanted to do the Image analysis and z-stacking via ImageJ. As the motion and image acquisition of our microscope is being controlled via Labview, if this image analysis part is integrated in Labview then we would have one module to do it all which is very user friendly. I know that Labview supports Active-X automation but the question is whether ImageJ will be able to be controlled via Labview using Active-X or no? I acquire ~500 images using our photon counter via Labview and want to stack them in the z-axis (volume rendering) via ImageJ. It would be good if i can get ImageJ interface in labview or open ImageJ and run some macros on it via labview. Any information is highly appreciated, Thanks, Regards, Muttee Sheikh Photonics Research Group, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada |
Hi Muttee,
I just saw your post. I too have always wondered if there a way to integrate these two programs. They are my favorite two programs in the lab and I too am currently using them separately. I've built a specialized microscope that uses Labview for part of the acquisition and I always use ImageJ for the image analysis and for writing custom image software. What are you using your multi-photon microscope for? Who do you work for and in which building? I'm in the CCBR building in the Biomedical Engineering department. Maybe we can get together and try figure out a way to do what you want. This is an old post, but for anyone googling for a solution; I've created a plugin to ImageJ that allows ImageJ to open and control LabVIEW VIs. The plugin is called ImageJVI, and it is available at www.ImageJVI.org.
Hope it helps! ------ Matt Kirk |
