Mac installation

MRI_DTI
Hi,

I am trying to install ImageJ on Mac OS 10.10.4. I have java 8.
I have tried various things as follows:

1. Install without Java. This installation has two apps, ImageJ and ImageJ32. I tried both, although ImageJ32 is seemingly not the best option for my 64-bit machine.
2. Install with Java. (And then either delete the jre folder to let ImageJ use already installed Java. Or keep it!)

Every time, I get the ImageJ icon. I can open it by double clicking. It does open, but I don't see the main menu. That is I don't see the File menu and can't access images from ImageJ. It does work the other way around and I can open an image on my computer by selecting ImageJ from the list of applications.

Please help me in getting this alright.

Thanks,

MRI_DTI

Hi Eyesha,

Did you try the OS X download of Fiji from http://imagej.net/Downloads ?

It is now bundled with Java 8, and should work "out of the box" on OS X
10.10.4.

Regards,
Curtis
