Measure Drop Diameter (Closely Packed Array)

aalucio
I am looking for a way to measure the droplet size from an image containing an array of closely packed droplets, such as the one attached. I am not yet "fluent" in ImageJ and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hello
1-maybe you can try, after an efficient segmentation by treshholding, create a binary image and then apply the waterrshed
command and analyze particles. Consider that computer vision is pixel abesed, and if the objects of interest (droplets)
are well extracted from the background, and if they are round (minimal area/volume ratio)
the watershed is very effective, analize particles command works well for red blood cell count, for example (particles on an empty background)
2-if theĀ  droplets are different in colors, you can mantain the color clustering with this excellent plugin
http://bigwww.epfl.ch/sage/soft/colorsegmentation/

best wishes
