Dear Roseann,
Further to Johannes' reply, if you just want to measure the "green" area
in the image, then you just need to define that area by thresholding
(Image - Adjust threshold) or by making the image binary (Process - Make
Binary) and then select AREA as one of the parameters you want to
measure (Analyze - Set Measurements). If you are using a manual
threshold, then select "Limit to Threshold", before measuring.
You should calibrate the image first so that your results are in the
correct units, e.g. microns squared.
It's easier if you can work in greyscale, e.g. make the image 8bit first
but otherwise you can use the built-in colour thresholding if necessary.
Kind regards,
Jacqui

Subject: Measuring area without intensity
I have what I think is a simple question. I have a green image and
would like to measure the area of the image only (not the intensity).
Is there a way of doing this without manually circling each image?
I'd very much appreciate everyone's help.
