Hello All,
I am trying to capture some images from within imagej. I had hoped
for a simple solution but have yet to get anything to work. I
currently have a camera attached to a microscope which has video out
via an RCA cable or an SVIDEO cable. My plan was to use a simple
capture card to connect the camera to the computer and use either:
Quicktime capture plugin:
http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/plugins/qt-capture.htmlor
Capturing plugin (on windows using JMF):
http://www.stierlen2.homepage.t-online.de/modellbau/3dscanner/scanner-eng.htmlI am testing my idea with two hauppauge capture cards (one usb and one
PCI) but have yet to make much progress. I did get the JTWAIN plugin
to work but it requires too many clicks and menus to be used many
times in one sitting. Are there any other recommendations as to which
capture card I should use to best interface with Imagej?
For the moment I am focusing on the JMF solution. I am having
difficulty compiling the plugin, and get 36 errors in the output. I
happened to stumble upon a similar problem previously posted in this
email list which can be seen here:
http://imagej.588099.n2.nabble.com/TWAIN-Dialog-td797788.htmlUnfortunately I am not clear as to where I should put the custom.jar
file that I generate and what it should be named. There is mention
about changing a classpath but my knowledge about Java is fairly
limited and I am not sure what do change. I can post my error
messages but thought I would check to see if anyone had any advice or
solutions.
I appreciate your help.
