Sorry if this is not what you were looking for, but you can get ImageJ to
measure these factors by:
Analyse>Set Measurements - and check area and shape descriptors.
Drawing an area can be done using the rectangle or any of the other shape
tools, then press

*cntrl/command M* or go Analyse>Measure
However if you want to select areas based on the intensity or colour of the
pixels you'll have to first threshold and segment the image, but you can
then interrogate all of the regions of interest found in the entire image in
one go.
