Postdoctoral position on computerized image analysis at Institut Pasteur
(Paris, France)
We have an opening for a postdoctoral position to work on large-scale
automated analysis of microscopy images, in collaboration with several cell
biologists and the Institute's microscopy platform. The main goal is to
develop methods and tools to extract the subnuclear position and dynamics of
genes in large amounts of cells observed by fluorescence microscopy. These
methods will be applied to the study of gene regulation and other
fundamental processes with strong biomedical implications. The postdoc will
be part of a well working collaboration and will benefit from substantial
preparatory work.
Desired skills:
- Good background in signal processing, computer science, or a related
field
- Good programming skills, including experience with Matlab
- Readiness to work on relevant practical aspects, e.g. related to
microscopy
- Excellent interactivity and flexibility
- Additional skills in optics, biology or statistics would be a plus
Gross salary: roughly 2500 euros per month.
