Purify the Images

yuanchen
Dear Friends

I am doing the conversion of microFE from the microCT data. Basically, I
got microCT data sets of cancellous bone from microCT and develop my own
code to directly convert the voxels into brick shape finite elements.

In my images datasets, there are bound to be some small isolated islands
where there are only a few bone voxels.  These islands have to be removed
because they don't contribute to the stiffness of the bones.

So  I am wondering whether in imageJ or BoneJ,  if there are functions like
after thresholding, will allow you to remove the bone voxels of certain
number which are isolated and not connected to the main bone body ?

Regards

Yuan Chen

BoneJ's Purify command will do this:
