I was hoping some of you could recommend some good courses/conferences for quantitative bioimage analysis this upcoming year ?? Would be quite helpful for me to have a centralized list of options... perhaps for others as well.
Many thanks. -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
Hi Ellen
ABRF just advertised for their February meeting on the confocal list (( https://conf.abrf.org/abrf-2016). Looks like Kevin E. is a speaker. They have an image processing course using a combination of Imagej and some of the commercial products. Hi Ellen,
We have a short list on our website: http://hcbi.fas.harvard.edu/external-microscopy-courses (I'm happy to add others....) These mainly focus more on microscopy than image analysis and are all on the east coast of North America. Quantitative Imaging: From Cells to Molecules is currently receiving applications and they have a very large image analysis component. -Doug On Wed, Dec 2, 2015 at 1:51 PM, Brian Northan <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi Ellen > > ABRF just advertised for their February meeting on the confocal list (( > https://conf.abrf.org/abrf-2016). At the University of Nottingham the CPIB group runs a short course that has
been tied to a workshop on Image Analysis in the past. I attended the workshop in 2012 and a colleague has taught at the course a few times 2012-13 (perhaps longer). https://www.cpib.ac.uk/outreach/ Looks like they will do the course again in 2016. Looks like IAMPS (workshop/conference) was in Belgium this year: http://www.phytosystems.ulg.ac.be/iamps15/ And next year it might be in Angers, France? http://www.sciencesconf.org/browse/conference/?confid=2411 (not sure how much I trust that site, but I can't find one by the organizers) On Wed, Dec 2, 2015 at 11:20 AM, Nico Stuurman <[hidden email]> wrote: > On 12/2/15 7:33 AM, Ellen T Arena wrote: > >> I was hoping some of you could recommend some good courses/conferences >> for quantitative bioimage analysis this upcoming year ?? Thank you everyone. I am currently adding a page on imagej.net <http://imagej.net/> for ‘Upcoming Events’ - including your suggestions… This will be a nice, central resource for meetings/courses in our field.
I would appreciate the community taking a look and editing as they wish - it’s a great spot to advertise as well! I will send the link once things are a bit more advanced… Ellen Arena > On Dec 2, 2015, at 1:01 PM, Douglas Richardson <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Hi Ellen, > > We have a short list on our website: > http://hcbi.fas.harvard.edu/external-microscopy-courses > > (I'm happy to add others....) > > These mainly focus more on microscopy than image analysis and are all on > the east coast of North America. > > Quantitative Imaging: From Cells to Molecules is currently receiving > applications and they have a very large image analysis component. > > -Doug > > On Wed, Dec 2, 2015 at 1:51 PM, Brian Northan <[hidden email]> wrote: > >> Hi Ellen >> >> ABRF just advertised for their February meeting on the confocal list (( >> https://conf.abrf.org/abrf-2016). This is the link for the thus-far ‘short’ list of relevant conferences/courses:
imagej.net/Upcoming_Events <http://imagej.net/Upcoming_Events> Please feel free to edit this page with new, interesting conferences and courses !!! Would be appreciated… E Arena > On Dec 2, 2015, at 1:01 PM, Douglas Richardson <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Hi Ellen, > > We have a short list on our website: > http://hcbi.fas.harvard.edu/external-microscopy-courses > > (I'm happy to add others....) > > These mainly focus more on microscopy than image analysis and are all on > the east coast of North America. Hi Ellen,
We also organize a course for image analysis using ImageJ/Fiji: http://optimizedmicroscopy.com/index.html The web of the course still doesn't show the new edition details but you can check the program and contents of the last one.
