RGB

Tania Telford
I'm using ImageJ to carry out radiochromic film analysis. I am using a 48
bit scanner to scan the film in, and I then perform the image analysis.
However, when I try to split the images into their RGB components, ImageJ
will split them into 3 8-bit images, with 256 pixel values each.

If I then go into Image -> Type -> 16 bit, ImageJ will still only return
256 pixel values, as opposed to the 65536 which I want......Does anyone
know how to fix this??

Thanks

Save the scanned images as 48-bit TIFFs and ImageJ will open them as
16-bits per channel composite color stacks.
