Re: Cell counter plugin..

Oran Kennedy
Dear List,

I am using the 'Cell Counter' plugin at present to analyse histological bone
sections - Rather than choosing the colour and then clicking POINTS on the
image I would like to be able to choose a colour and then trace out a
PERIMETER with that colour (with a standard pixel width). Is there a
different plugin that does this or can the present one be adjusted??

Also, how would I go about adding another colour option?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

I don't know if this will help, but I am doing cell counting on
hepatocyte and kidney sections with my own macro, and what I found
helpful is to split the color images into their respective red, green,
and blue slices and choose the color that has the most contrast for the
cells I want, close up the other slices , and count the one with the
best contrast.

Hello again,

Thanks for that suggestion, it makes things slightly better - However, I'm
still interested in a plug-in that allows me to trace out a line with each
of the colours....any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Oran

Re: Cell counter plugin..

Hi,

It should be possible to do that by changing the plugin to do select
by wand when you click instead of putting the standard marker, and
then outline the resulting ROI.
I can have a look but it might take a while to get around to.
