I am working on a very similar project as you are/was doing and also a novice when it comes down to ImageJ.
In my project I am comparing the spreading of blood spatter stains caused by several different mechanisms (impact, gunshot, expirated etc). I also want to work with an elliptical selection in which the blood spatter stains are located. However because of this selection, the blood spatter stains that are located on the actual selection line are split in half while analyzing the particles (stain size etc.) I was wondering if you found a way how to include the entire stain in the selection even when the selection line itself splits it in half. I hope my explanation of the problem is clear enough.
