Dear Manos,
In the macro language you can use:
getImageInfo()
getInfo(DICOM_TAG)
getMetadata("Info")
to extract information (tags) from the DICOM header.
See the Build-in Macro Function website how to use them.
Best wishes

Subject: Reading DICOM header without opening the image
dear all,
I am writting a macro in which I read a bunch of DICOM images. My intention is to keep information from selected DICOM tags and store them in a text file. In order to accelerate the process, I need a way for ImageJ to not open the images but somehow read the DICOM header data only. Is there a way?
Thank you beforehand for your help,
Manos
