Reading OpenEXR (.exr) files in ImageJ

Dennis Dye
Can ImageJ be used to read and manipulate an OpenEXR (.exr) format file?  OpenEXR is a high dynamic-range image file format (http://www.openexr.com/index.html).  So far I've been unable to locate a plug-in or any reference to using ImageJ with OpenEXR files.

Hi Dennis,

There are plans to add support for OpenEXR data to Bio-Formats
(http://loci.wisc.edu/bio-formats), which can be used as a plugin for
ImageJ.  You can view the relevant ticket on Bio-Formats' Trac issue
tracker here:

https://skyking.microscopy.wisc.edu/trac/java/ticket/488

If you would like to be notified when support for OpenEXR has been
added to Bio-Formats, please let me know.

Regards,
-Melissa
