Saving DCM preserving image origin

LiviaB
Hi,

I have to preprocess and segment some medical images. I want to use ImageJ and other programs, so it's important that the original coordinate system is maintained in the different passages. I found that when I save the image in as Nifti (with the nifti_io plugin http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/plugins/nifti.html ) or as Analyze (with the native menu), the resulting image has always origin in (0,0,0).
The same happens when cropping ( see also http://imagej.1557.x6.nabble.com/Coordinate-origin-unchanged-after-Crop-and-Duplicate-a-bug-td3685429.html ).

Is there any workaround for this? At least some macro function?
Thanks
Livia
