Segmented line selection tool does not appear to allow closure of the selected area.

My apologies list members if this is not the place to request help.

I am a relatively new Imagej user and I have been unable to double click for closure during the use of the segmented line area selection tool .
This behavior is reproduced on several different machines and windows OSes.  It could easily be a mistake on my part but any feedback from our more experienced users would be appreciated.
This occurs on 8 bit greyscale and 24 bit color images at 600 dpi.

I guess you have been confused about two distinct tools:

a) The *Polygon Selection* Tool (3rd slot on the Toolbar) creates closed ROIs.
b) The *Segmented Line* Tool (5th slot on the Toolbar, shared with other line
   tools) creates line ROIs, that cannot be closed because, well, segmented
   lines are not polygons
