Dear list,
I just realized a bug in the "Speckle inspector" plugin of the BioVoxxel
Toolbox.
During analyses it used sometimes the bounding box instead of the original
ROI defined by the primary objects. In the case of very amorphous or
spatially close primary objects this might result in incorrect speckle
count numbers.
This is fixed in the newest version. So, for all using this plugin already,
please double check results and update to the newest version via the Fiji
update site (
http://fiji.sc/BioVoxxel_Toolbox) or the BioVoxxel homepage (
http://www.biovoxxel.de/development/).
I apologize for any inconvenience due to this bug.
Furthermore, the update also includes a new version of the "Watershed
Irregular Features" plugin which thanks to the effort of Thorsten Wagner
has now a convexity threshold as additional parameter included which helps
to make it fine tunable better and additionally makes it scaling and
rotation invariant (at least in the tested cases).
Kind regards,
Jan
