Total integral intensity measurement

Dipanjana Ghosh
Dear all,

How to measure  the total integral intensity of an image in image J?
In the set measurement tab I could find min, max, mean and mode grey value.
No option for toal integral intensity.
Kindly let me know if anyone has come across the solution.

Thanking you

Regards,

Re: Total integral intensity measurement

Dear Dipanjana,

I'm not an expert, but in the Analyze/Set Measurements... Window one of the
parameters you can set is the "Integrated Density", which I think is what
you are looking for. At least I think it is the sum of the intensity value
of all the pixels within the measured area.

Best,

Xavi.

Hej Dipanjana,

"Integrated density" in Set Measurements provides the total intensity.

Changing the name to "Total Intensity" might be helpful.
"Integrated density" suggests something to do with gels.

Re: Total integral intensity measurement

Dipanjana Ghosh
Dear Xavi & Jeremy,
Thanks a lot. I was confused whether that one is the correct one.

Dipanjana
