TrackMate Splitting Events

Hi,

as I would like to post-process the tracks produced by TrackMate, it would be nice to directly access the splitting events. The way they are handled now feels strange to me. Look e.g. at this screenshot:

Now after the splitting, I still have one Track which now always has two spots per frame. I thought the definition of a track is that of a single particle trajectory. Wouldn't it be better to spawn a new track at the splitting event and to make some sort of record which stores the linked tracks via splitting ? One could with this directly access the daughter cells individually.

So how to get the individual spot features (or individual daughter tracks) of a splitted track now ?
