Video capture tool

nckrzan
Hi

I just start to worked with  the macro - Video Capture Tool.
It is fine but I found few limitations.
With my digital USB camera Moticam 2000 I could record only maximun 70
frames (800x600pixel, 15 frames/s, uncompressed) depending on various
macro parameters
capturedNumber
captureTime
lastFrame

The orginal parameters allow to record only 35 frames ....

How big parapmeters I should use to obtain the movied with 900 frames
(what means 1 minute with 15 fps - uncompressed). Maybe the limitation is
somwere in the Virtualdub? But I also changed the stop conditions in VD.

Regards
Marcel

Re: Video capture tool

Hello

I solved my problem with the camera and Video Capture Tool

The problem was caused by the camera (Moticam 2000 USB - which is
designed for microscopy) parameters and the VirtualDub settings.

The camera should work with the frequency 15 frames pre second. However in
reality the 60 second of recording means ca. 1100 - 1150 frames ---
Let's calculate - it is ca. 18 or 19 frames per second.

The VirtualDub settings : Capture/Timing tried to drop the frames which
are to close together .... and in the consequence the VirtualDur and Macro
were interrupted after ca. 50 75 frames of recording .... It is the
limitation I found 2 days ago.

The problem was solved with the Virtualdub -- I  simple swith off the
Capture / Timing settings.

Otherwise, the problem exist only on the computer with the DDR2 RAM
800MHz. On the computer with slower memory the camera works perfect
(slower). The 60 second recording give only ca. 1000 frames what is
acepted by the
VirtualDub.

Marcel
