to take a picture of radiograph

Merlin Verdecia
Greetings to all
I would be very grateful if someone could explain what is the best way to take a picture of radiograph. I have a Nikon L20 digital camera. I know there are specialized scanners but they are very expensive. My ultimate goal is to analyze some details of the radiograph.

 Thank you very much.

I'm not familiar with this camera, but if it has a 'manual' mode to select the following exposure parameters, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, then I'd mount the camera on a tripod,
place the x-ray on a light panel, and change the settings to get the 'best' exposure of the detail you want.

The only other issue would be focus. And this may require an assistant, if you could place some form of 'good' auto focus pattern on a sheet of paper on top of the x-ray, press the shutter release half-way, to focus, then before pushing the shutter release all the way, remove the 'focus target', revealing the x-ray, then press the release to snap the shot.

In a land far away, and a long time ago, I would take pictures of CRT displays of video cameras using image intensifiers and scintillators to get shots of 'real time' x-ray images.
