Wrong pixel values for line profile

I have imported a raw image into ImageJ. I opened it with 16 bit unsigned integer and the dimensions of the image. Sometimes when I draw a plot profile and list the values for the line, they come out as real numbers instead of integers. Does anyone know why this might happen?

You have "Interpolate Line Profiles" enabled in Edit>Options>Profile  
Plot Options.
