Hi!
I am not an expert, so maybe there is a better solution to do it, but
I am doing exactly the same, measuring volume of dendrites and axons
and the way I do it (to be honest is good but a bit time consuming) is
to :
1. Using the segmentation editor plug-in I create the volume of the
dendrites (If I have confocal channels of different colours I do this
twice one with each channel)
2. With the tool threshold I convert the new stack(s) into a binary
file.
3. Using the plug in colour counting gives me the pixel of each of the
colors (that I can look at pixels of overlap as well)
4. I can transform the pixels into µm3 because I know my pixel size.
Hope that helps, and if you find a better or faster way of doing it,
please let me know,
Best,
Lucia
