annotations not saved in pdf

Dear all

my annotations are all missing in files saved with "save as > pdf".
Right now I have to save as eps, adjust the boundingbox and convert to
pdf. But this is annoyingly complicated.

I am using Fiji / ImagJ 1.51n / java 1.8.0_131 (64 bit) / Ubuntu 16.04
(64 bit)

Correction: annotations are missing also in eps. I have to use jpg instead

Maybe you need to "flatten" the image, then save it, so the annotation (that I
guess is an overlay?) get burnt into the pixel data.
There is a Flatten command that you will find by issuing a CTL+L search.
