cell counter plugin

Commandeur
Hello,

First my complements on the ImageJ program. I have just
discovered it, but I like it very much already.

There is however a problem I am experiencing with the cell
counter plugin by Kurt De Vos. The problem occurs when
trying to run the plugin in ImageJ. I click on 'Cell
counter' under Plugin and the Cell counter window opens in
a way that I can just see a piece of the left side. The
rest of the window runs off the screen and I cannot move
it, henceforth I cannot see it nor use it.

This plugin seems to be perfectly suited for an operation
I would like to perform, namely count objects by clicking.

Has anybody has similar problems with this plugin? I am
running:
Windows XP
Java(TM) 2 Platform, Standard Edition Runtime Environment,
Version 5.0
and
ImageJ 1.36b

Kind regards,
Edwin Commandeur

Hi Kurt,

Thank you for your kind and fast reply. The plugin you
mailed indeed places the cell counter window in the upper
left corner.

I had already installed WCIF ImageJ, which apparently uses
an older version of the cell counter plugin.

The newer plugin is definitely nicer. Twice as much types
available and better output!

Thanks again,
Edwin

There is a work-around that should let you use the cell-counter until Kurt
has an opportunity to develop a solution.

You should be able to see the Java Cup menu at the top left of the plugin on
the right edge of your screen.  Click on it and select Move.   Then, use the
left-arrow key to move the main body of the plug-in dialog into view on the
screen.

I think you'll find it to be an extremely useful plug-in.

HTH,

Rob

Hi Edwin,

Have a look at the documentation; e.g you can now add as many types
you want, or remove them if needed.

Hi Kurt,

Many thanks. It's really nice that it's possible to add
and remove types just by a click on the button!
