control plugin for laser scanner

Peter Stierlen
Dear list,

I put the Scan_Capturing_public.jar file on my page:
http://www.stierlen2.homepage.t-online.de/modellbau/3dscanner/scanner-eng.html

If you installed JMF it will run properly also showing a preview (if
clicked active).
For the control of the stepper I used a Velleman USB board VM110 and
nanotec SMC11 stepper driver (~€35).
The USB-board is controlled by TWUSB (you can find it via google). I
also installed a photo transistor for referencing of the laser rotation
unit. The voltage of the photo transistor circuit is read in via the
analog input of the board and analysed by a fourier modul
(http://www.numatec.de/Fachaufsatz.pdf) to find the rotation position of
the laser passing the photo transistor. In the present hardware setup I
found a repeat accuracy of this referencing unit of 0.05° ... not too
bad for a cheap 1.8° stepper in 1/8 stepping mode and 1/4.5 belt drive.

Please don't become desperate on my code style ... it is all sparetime
programmed

The next step will be a linear scanner unit.

Best regards

Peter
