Dear ImageJ users,
I am looking for an ImageJ plugin tool that can blend the focused areas of a focus stack (with partially focused images) into one focused image (i.e. an increase of depth of field). There exist proprietary software (Helicon Focus) and OpenSource (CombineZM), but I need an (platform independent) ImageJ plugin. Any suggestions are welcome, Dimitri Vanhecke -- Dimitri Vanhecke Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry Dept. of Molecular Structural Biology Am Klopferspitz 18 D-82152 Martinsried Deutschland phone: +49 89 8578 2634 |

There is also a simple plugin called "stack focusser" that might
work. > Hi Dimitri, > > Dimitri Vanhecke wrote: > > I am looking for an ImageJ plugin tool that can blend the focused > areas > > of a focus stack (with partially focused images) into one focused > image > > (i.e. an increase of depth of field). There exist proprietary > software > > (Helicon Focus) and OpenSource (CombineZM), but I need an > (platform > > independent) ImageJ plugin. > > > There is an Extended Depth of Field plugin here: > http://bigwww.epfl.ch/demo/edf/index.html > > Hth, > jan ... Have you checked out the Extended Depth of Field plugin?
http://bigwww.epfl.ch/demo/edf/ It sounds like it will do what you're looking for.
