Hi,
Generally you would start with thresholding and Analyze Particles. But the specific procedure depends on the question you are asking.
E.g. do you want to detect particles that happen to be circular/elliptical? Or do you need to distinguish between circles/ellipses and other shapes?
A sample image (on imgur or the forum) showing what you want to detect would help a lot.
