Hi all:
a caveat: the plugin mentioned corrects for background (only). If your brightness values (signal plus background) are lower in the edges, this may be caused by the optical design of the instrument (illumination diminution at the edges plus detection diminution, also known as vignetting in photography). In this case you would have to apply some kind of position-dependent correction implying multiplication or division, not position-dependent offset correction. Is there a plugin doing that?
