jar loader in mac os x

Hi all,


I am running image j 1.41 on os 10.3.9. The classLoader doesn't seem to load any jars and classes in the plugins directory. Specifically, I am trying to use the jython.jar package, and when I run or try to compile the .java files afresh, I get errors like "org.util._____" was not found, which leads me to believe that the
java archive is not being loaded.


Any suggestions?
