sorry for the double post:
Hello all, I've dealt with a similar problem before, but I can't seem to solve it again. I had dealt with this on my mac, but now I am working on installing the plugin rigid registration (found here: http://132.187.25.13/home/?category=Download&page=RigidRegistration) on two PC's (one with XP, and one with Vista). These are the steps I've followed to install the plugin: 1. Download the Rigid_Registration.jar file from the link above. 2. Place the .jar file in the plugins folder at Program Files/ImageJ/plugins 3. Restart ImageJ When I reopen ImageJ, the plugin does not appear. When I've seen it working, the Plugin Menu will have an item called "vib" in it, with dropdown menu that includes rigid registration. Last time I dealt with this issue, it had something to do with the version of Java corresponding to the correct version of ImageJ, and something to do with whether or not I installed ImageJ bundled or not bundled with Java. Another thing I've noticed is regardless of which version of Java I have installed, if I change my version of ImageJ to 1.41 using the "update ImageJ" option, then the plugin appears in the dropdown. Any version higher than 1.41 and it disappears. I do need the highest version of ImageJ. I would very much appreciate some help with this All the best, Benjamin W. Little |
Benjamin,
the process you describe is perhaps not necessary. Just use Fiji, which is ImageJ with a collection of libraries already installed, including the one with the rigid registration. http://fiji.sc See the "Plugins - Registration" menu with lots of registration plugins. The wiki at http://fiji.sc has explanations and examples for each.
