java version and memory

laurent barbe
Dear users,

I recently experienced an issue on the latest release of ImageJ. Trying to
increase the allocated RAM to 1.6GB, I noticed than many plugins went
wrong, e.g. the LSM viewer window and buttons turned all blank even though
still functional. It's finally back to normal when I decreased the RAM down
to 1GB.
My config is a dual core Xeon running with windows X64, with 4GB RAM. Is
anyone sharing such a config, because it seems that there is only release
of Java JRE for AMD x64. Could it be the reason?

Thanks for any kind of suggestions!

Laurent

I had exactly the same problem.  We are setting up now a second machine
with AMD processors to see whether we can break the barrier.

Ask me again in a month's time

regards
