Dear All
I tried to load my .tif images from microCT scan which are of 7GB roughly, it can only upload 33% of the whole images and shows a warning : out of memory Is there a way to load large images like this best Yuan Chen -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
Hi Yuan,
> Is there a way to load large images like this Open the image as a virtual stack. There are several ways to do this. One way is File > Import > TIFF Virtual Stack. Another possibility is to use Bio-Formats (File > Import > Bio-Formats if using the Fiji distribution of ImageJ; http://fiji.sc/), and check the "Use virtual stack" box in the main options dialog box. Yuan,
In ImageJ go to *Edit > Options > Memory & Threads*. From there you can change the amount of memory that can be allotted to ImageJ. A good rule of thumb (or at least what I go by) is to not set the memory limit to be more than 75% of my computers total available RAM. One you change this and click OK you must restart ImageJ for the new settings to take effect. Hope that helps. Cheers, Aaron.
