could you be more specific on the error you get, i.e. copy and paste the
error into your response?
All examples from Help > Examples > Macro open up the editor with the
contents of the macro, as is expected. Are you referring to, for
example, Help > Examples > JavaScript > *? If so, those scripts are not
written in the ImageJ macro language but in this case in JavaScript. See
https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/developer/javascript.html for more information
