measuring distance between particles

Can someone point me in the right direction?
I would like to measure the distance between particles
and a given reference point in a field after using the
threshold function.   thanks gary

Search the archives.  This was discussed within the last year and people
posted responses including our simple favorite measuring from the centroid
of each particle using Pthagorean.
