memory issue with vista64

John Alexander-7
Hi group,

Sorry if this has been posted/answered - I can't search the
archives at the moment.
But I am running ImageJ 1.42n with Java 1.6.0_12 (64-bit) on
my Vista-64 machine.

I have 3000 megs of RAM alocated - but - everytime I apprach
500 megs, I get a <java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap
space> error.

How do I figure out what is the problem?

On Windows Vista ImageJ needs to be installed in a directory that the
user has write access to, such as Documents or Desktop.
