multiROI

Peter Brazda
Dear list members,

I am quite new here, so I would like to have a basic question.
When measuring average pixel intensity of an image, how is it possible to
choose several ROIs at the same time?  (I just need three equal squares now)

Thank you very much in advance!
Best,

Re: multiROI

Thomas Theelen
Dear Peter,

You have two options:

1. Press shift while drawing several ROIs. With "analyze/measure" you
get a summarized result of them.
2. Use the ROI manager. Draw a first ROI and add it to the ROI manager.
Then move the ROI to several positions you intend and repeat click
"add". After finishing, chose "more/combine" and "measure" in the ROI
manager, then you get a result for each ROI in a single list.

Of course you first have to customize the measuring values within
"analyze/set measurements..." of the main menu within ImageJ.

Success, Thomas
