Hi all,
Very new user of ImageJ, and I'm trying to install the Parallel Iterative Deconvolution plugin. As per the installation instructions I downloaded the binary zip file, unzipped it, and moved the extracted directory into ImageJ's plugins directory. Started ImageJ up, but the plugin doesn't appear in the Plugins menu. I'm using ImageJ on MacBookPro running Snow Leopard. Any ideas? -- Troy Piggins |
Hello,
Can anyone with access to Snow Leopard confirm this problem? Troy, what version of Java and ImageJ are you using? Piotr: It works on my Snow Leopard system.
Troy: Plugins can only be nested one folder deep in the plugins folder. For example, if you put the "ParallelIterativeDeconvolution" folder inside the "Tools" subfolder of plugins, it will not appear on the list. Try placing the folder directly beneath the plugins folder. -Curtis On Wed, Oct 28, 2009 at 8:10 AM, Piotr Wendykier <[hidden email]>wrote: > Hello, > > Can anyone with access to Snow Leopard confirm this problem? > > Troy, what version of Java and ImageJ are you using? > > Piotr > > On Tue, Oct 27, 2009 at 11:00 PM, Troy Piggins <[hidden email]> > wrote: > > Hi all, > > > > Very new user of ImageJ, and I'm trying to install the Parallel > > Iterative Deconvolution plugin. It is definitely just the "ParallelIterativeDeconvolution" folder in
the "Plugins" folder of "ImageJ", which is in the "Applications" folder. The only thing I've done to the vanilla ImageJ installation was to install that "FFT" folder also in plugins. It appeared to work fine. Could they be clashing? I wouldn't have thought so. I should point out that I'm only running 32bit Snow Leopard, not 64bit. I'm at home at the moment, I'll have to report back on the Java version, but the notebook is only a couple of months old and everything is freshly installed and updated. * Curtis Rueden wrote : > Piotr: It works on my Snow Leopard system. > > Troy: Plugins can only be nested one folder deep in the plugins folder. Solved. I had moved the ImageJ executable from the ImageJ folder to
the Applications root folder and it wasn't detecting the plugin folder path. Moved it back to the ImageJ subfolder and now it detects plugins fine. Thanks all. * Troy Piggins wrote : > It is definitely just the "ParallelIterativeDeconvolution" folder in > the "Plugins" folder of "ImageJ", which is in the "Applications" > folder. > > The only thing I've done to the vanilla ImageJ installation was to > install that "FFT" folder also in plugins.
