possible bug with measuring segmented lines

Lange, Jeffrey
Hi all-

I have a segmented line ROI that I want to measure the mean and other parameters of. Once I've drawn the line, I add it to the ROI manager and then type "m" or "Analyze-measure" to get my result. The problem is, once I've done this my ROI is converted to a spline fit segmented line. This happens reproducibly for me. Furthermore the integrated density results I get out of the measurement are erratic. For the same ROI on the same image, the segmented line and spline fit line will give either the same or different integrated density results. The mean seems to be unaffected. At first, I thought I could reproducibly get different integrated density results by clicking spline fit first, but further testing shows a more erratic behavior. I'm running Fiji, version 1.51g with Java 1.8.0_66 (64-bit).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

please try with the current version (help>Update ImageJ>daily build).
Wayne has fixed an issue with segmented lines getting automatically
converted to splines in version 1.51h10.

With this version, I could not reproduce your problem.
